Research Internship for Female Graduates and Post-graduates in the Collaborative Research Center 1270 ELAINE ‘Electrically Active Implants’
Who we are?
We are the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1270 ELAINE, funded since 2017 by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Our research vision focuses on novel electrically active implants. Specifically, we address implants employed for the regeneration of bone and cartilage, as well as implants for deep brain stimulation to treat movement disorders. What do weo ffer?
Our principal investigators and their teams would like to give you an inside view of their research field to help optimally trigger your decision toward an academic career. You will work for two weeks with the project team of your choice and write a short report about your experiences after that.
Who can apply?
Female graduates or post-graduates in the field of:
Biomedical Engineering, Computational Science, Electrical Engineering, Medicine, Human Sciences, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physic, Material Science and Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
How to apply?
Optimally, you are already in contact with one of the CRC’s principal investigators or (post-)doctoral researchers. You may also come up with a suggestion for a topic. Send one page stating your motivation, incl. a short CV and, if existing, your contact person in the CRC, until 15/02/2025 to elaine@uni-rostock.de
What happens after your application?
A committee will select up to 10 graduates and five post-graduate doctoral researchers, respectively, to offer participation. We will inform you of the out come in February 2025. The CRC will pay costs for travel, accommodation, and a subsided lumpsum. There search internship can take place during the period from July to October 2025 in Rostock, Greifswald, Wismar, Erlangen, Mainz, or Leipzig, depending on the host institution you choose.
