Autumn School on Movement Science (04-06.10.2023)

7th International Autumn School on Movement Science (04-06.10.2023)

We are happy to announce that after a break due to the corona constraints, our International Autumn School for Movement Science is taking place again this year. Being a part of the Berlin School of Movement Science, the Autumn School in Berlin aims at giving PhD students an opportunity to establish contact with outstanding researchers invited to give a talk at the School and to learn more about state-of-the-art human movement research. The Autumn School will be held in Berlin from the 4th to 6th of October 2023.

This year, the scientific program will include three main topics:

Perturbed and unperturbed locomotion (4th October):

Kevin De Pauw (Vrije Universiteit Brussel)
André Seyfarth (Technische Universität Darmstadt)
Thomas Roberts (Brown University)
Jaap van Dieën (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam)

Muscle and tendon: mechanics and adaptation (5th October):

Benedicte Vanwanseele (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven)
Daniel Hahn (Ruhr-Universität Bochum)
Chavaunne Thorpe (Royal Veterinary College London)
Jess Gerrit Snedeker (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich)

Neural control of movement (6th October):

Francois Hug (Université Côte d’Azur)
Thorsten Stein (Karlsruher Institut für Technologie)
Natalie Mrachacz-Kersting (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg)
