It is an independent university institution for research and teaching in human and dental medicine as well as a university hospital providing supramaximal care. Research, teaching, patient care, and administration work hand in hand in an integrated model on the MHH campus.<\/p>\n<p>The student receiving the stipend will be co-advised by an Orthopedic Surgeon and Researcher with expertise in the biomechanics of the Musculoskeletal System.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project: Physics-based deep learning framework for personalized implantation of hip prostheses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The stipend is associated with the Hannover Biomedical Research School (HBRS). HBRS is an interdisciplinary graduate school for physicians (MD\/PhD, MBBS, Dr.med.) and life scientists (Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Engineering, and Veterinary Sciences): <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mhh.de\/hbrs\/hbrs\">HBRS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The specific Project is associated with the Project A01 of the Interdisciplinary Collaborative Research Center <strong>SIIRI<\/strong> (Safety-Integrated and Infection-Reactive Implants): <a href=\"https:\/\/siiri-sfb.de\/en\/\">SIIRI<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/siiri-sfb.de\/en\/projektbereich-a\/a07\/\">Project A07<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are searching for candidates with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Master of Science in biomedical-engineering, biomechanics, or other associated discipline<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated active engagement in Research in at least two of the following areas:\n<ul>\n<li>Experimental musculoskeletal biomechanics<\/li>\n<li>Numerical simulation methods: of either human motion, joint mechanics,<br \/>\nbone mechanics or similar<\/li>\n<li>Machine Learning in a human motion or biomechanical context<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Very good English spoken and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>A commitment to cooperate and interact with researchers from other disciplines<\/li>\n<li>The desire to work engage in and actively contribute to a highly multidisciplinary team of students, scientists, and physicians<\/li>\n<li>A high degree of self-motivation, and a results-oriented work ethic<\/li>\n<li>One or more conference abstract or scientific publication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We offer you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A stipend of 1700\u20ac monthly for three years: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mhh.de\/hbrs\/mdphd\/program-details\">HBRS<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mhh.de\/hbrs\/hbrs\/coming-to-hannover\">GUIDE<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Collegial training in a motivated and interdisciplinary team<\/li>\n<li>Active Participation in SIIRI as a Ph.D. candidate, and access to other projects within the framework of the consortium.<\/li>\n<li>Personal and professional development opportunities \u2013 supported by our wide range of internal and external training and continuing education programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please address your application to: The deadline has been reached for this call.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Orthopedic Clinic \u2013 Hannover Medical School, Laboratory for Biomechanics and Biomaterials Stipend PhD (three years) The Hannover Medical School (MHH), with around 10,000 employees, is the largest state-owned enterprise in Lower Saxony.
