12th Conference on Voice Physiology (30.11-04.12.2020)

Important notification: ICVPB 2020 is rescheduled from 30th November to 4th December 2020 due to the COVID-19 epidemy and current international policies

Dear colleagues,

The 12th International Conference on Voice Physiology and Biomechanics (ICVPB 2020) will take place in Grenoble, France (Rescheduled for Nov 30 – Dec 4, 2020)

European Society of Biomechancis (ESB) (12-15.07.2020)

Conference of the European Society of Biomechanics – ESB
Milan, Italy (12-15.07.2020)

Coronavirus Update:

Given the serious nature of the growing COVID pandemic, the ESB2020 Organizing Committee and the ESB Council have made the decision to postpone ESB2020 to July 2021. We have secured the same venue (Politecnico di Milano) for the ESB2021 congress that will occur from July 11-14, 2021. Please save the date for next year.

Musculoskeletal System Symposium Stuttgart (16-18.07.2020)

In the light of all the recent uncertainties and worries that COVID-19 brought upon us, also with respect to global travel (policies), we had long discussions about how to proceed with the organization of our Musculoskeletal System Symposium 2020. Although our symposium is nowhere anywhere close to the Olympics, their decision to postpone the games to 2021 is somewhat reassuring that we should do the same and postpone our meeting to next year. We are very sad to do so, because we, together with all of you, and many people, who showed already great interest to join the symposium, were so excited about the symposium. The new dates for the Musculoskeletal System Symposium 2021 are July 20-22, 2021!

On June 1, 2019, the University of Stuttgart established the new Institute for Modelling and Simulation of Biomechanical Systems. We would lik to take this occasion to invite you to Stuttgart for a “Musculoskeletal System Symposium”. The goal is to bring together young and renowned international researchers to discuss and
improve our understanding of the musculoskeletal system as a whole. The symposium will take place from July 16 – 18, 2020. We are all looking forward to welcoming you in Stuttgart.

CAMS-Knee OpenSim Workshop (04-07.02.2020)

Register for CAMS-Knee OpenSim Workshop
February 4-7th, 2020 in Zurich, Switzerland
November 1, 2019 – Abstract submission deadline
November 15, 2019 – Early bird registration deadline

We invite you to participate in a 4-day workshop, featuring a unique live collection of in vivo knee joint contact forces and tendon loading datasets, which will be used by participants throughout the workshop. These measurements will be complemented by keynote lectures, software demonstrations, participant research talks, and free time for participants to work on their own projects and consult with experts. The workshop is based on the joint project “CAMS-Knee” from the Laboratory for Movement Biomechanics, ETH Zurich & Julius Wolff Institute, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. It is limited to 200 people, so please make sure to register early for the event. Participants are also encouraged to submit an abstract for research talks and poster awards.
